Ilocos cop loses guns at home

Teddy Molina - The Philippine Star

LAOAG CITY, Philippines – Probers are baffled over the loss of two service firearms of the chief of police of Vintar town inside his house yesterday.

Chief Inspector Jaime Quiocho, Vintar town police chief, said he discovered that his service pistols – a 9mm and a .45 caliber – and his four cellphones were missing when he woke up.

Chief Inspector Jonathan Papay, town deputy police chief, said investigators did not find any broken or damaged part in Quiocho’s house in Barangay Sta. Maria that could have been used by the robbers in gaining entry to the house.

The police official and his family had just arrived from Baguio City and had fallen asleep when the alleged robbery took place.
