P’sinan town dad survives gun attack

BINALONAN, Pangasinan, Philippines – A municipal councilor cheated death when he survived an attack staged by unidentified gunmen in Barangay Poblacion Friday morning.
Oscar Evangelista, 68, of Dewey street, Barangay Poblacion, suffered a gunshot wound in his right thigh after gunmen on motorcycles shot him.
Evangelista was rushed to the Rural Health Unit for treatment.
Probers recovered at the site four shells and one slug for a caliber .45 pistol.
Police have yet to determine the motive for the attack.
