2 drug fiends fall in Caloocan City
MANILA, Philippines - Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two suspected big-time drug pushers in a sting operation in Caloocan City.
Suspects Bernardo Lazaro y Boromeo, 51, of Brgy. Panghulo, Obando, Bulacan; and Rommel De Ocampo, 24, of Phase 12, Tala, Brgy. 188, Caloocan were arrested by PDEA operatives last May 29 after selling methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to a poseur-buyer.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said sting operation was conducted at Phase 2, Pasbilan Street, Caloocan City.
Upon a pre-arranged signal, operatives of PDEA Regional Office 3 down on the suspects, confiscating 50 grams of shabu that has a street value of P200,000.
Both suspects are now facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
