Cebu drug ring member falls in PDEA operation

MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) apprehended a suspected member of a notorious drug group operating in Cebu City during a sting operation, the agency disclosed on Thursday.

PDEA chief Arturo Cacdac Jr. said anti-narcotics agents nabbed Hubert Villacarillo, member of the Nudalo Drug ring, during last May 24 in a buy-bust operation.

During the operation at F. Villa Street, T. Padilla, Cebu City, operatives confiscated from Villacarillo two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, he sold to a to a poseur-buyer.

The suspect also yielded 15 more sachets of shabu weighing approximately 50 grams.
