150 families lose homes in Mandaluyong fire

MANILA, Philippines - At least 150 families were left  homeless after a fire broke out in a residential area in Mandaluyong City Tuesday night, destroying P300,000 worth of property.

No one was hurt during the blaze, which started around 9:10 p.m.

Mandaluyong City fire department said around 100 houses at Creek Side 1, Abelas Compound, Brgy. Mabini-Jose Rizal, Mandaluyong  were destroyed in the fire.

Initial investigation showed that the fire started inside the house owned by Delia Suan, which was being rented to a certain Corazon Ladrera.

Firefighters managed to put out the fire around 10:19 p.m.
