Woman nabbed for selling fake products

LAGUNA, Philippines – A businesswoman was arrested for allegedly selling fake seasoning products in Calamba City, police said yesterday.

Daisy Eugenio was charged before the provincial prosecutor’s office for violating the Intellectual Property Rights law.

Senior Superintendent Pascual Muñoz, Laguna police director, said Eugenio was arrested based on a warrant issued by Judge Maria Florencia Formes-Baculo.

A team composed of police officers and representatives from the Unilever Philippines collared the suspect inside the Calamba Trader Center last Wednesday.
