TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) Cagayan Valley office recorded an increase in dengue cases, with two deaths recorded from January to May.
DOH information officer Alan Sibal said they recorded 1,238 dengue cases, higher than the 1,205 cases recorded in the same period last year.
Sibal cited a DOH report showing Cagayan with the most number of cases at 779, followed by Isabela with 379 and two deaths, Nueva Vizcaya with 65 cases and Quirino with 15. Batanes remains dengue-free.
