COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Police remain clueless on who could have tried to blast grenades twice in just one week near a roadside food outlet here.
Both grenades failed to explode due to defective blasting contraptions, according to investigators.
Witnesses saw one of two men riding a motorcycle at dawn early this week toss a Mark II grenade at the entrance of the restaurant less than 200 meters away from the city’s main police precinct.
The incident was followed by another attempt to explode an M-67 grenade at the same spot Thursday night by two men also riding a motorcycle.
