9 E. Visayas colleges hiking tuition

MANILA, Philippines - The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has approved the tuition hike applications of nine out of 14 colleges in Eastern Visayas.

Socorro Ramos of the CHED regional office said any school that wants to increase tuition and other fees must comply with certain requirements such as proof of consultations with students and parents and the statement of account of its operations.

The nine colleges hiking their tuition this school year, all based in Leyte, are ABE International Business College Tacloban, AMA Computer Learning Center (ACLC) Ormoc, ACLC Tacloban, AMA Tacloban, Jose Navarro Polytechnic College in Kananga, and St. Michael College, STI College, Santo Niño College and Western Leyte College, all in Ormoc City.
