MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested Wednesday night two suspected hold up men for carrying firearms inside a bar in Quezon City. One of the suspects yielded a Presidential Security Group identification card.
Members of the Quezon City Police District apprehended Marvin Gaton and Bobby Atis inside a bar along Mindanao Avenue for violating the Commission on Elections gun ban.
The PSG identification card was recovered from Gaton.
When they were brought to the police station, auto shop owner Richard Tubig and his security guard identified the two suspects as among the seven-man group that help them up his establishment and took his cellphone, laptop and other gadgets.
Tubig also claimed that Gaton and Atis were the ones who tied him up and his security guard before leaving his shop.
Police recovered a .45 pistol and an assault rifle from the duo's vehicle.
