Reds own up to Tarlac bet’s killing

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – The New People’s Army (NPA) yesterday owned up to the killing of San Jose, Tarlac mayoral bet Rudy Abella last May 6.

In a statement yesterday afternoon, Jose Agtalon, the NPA’s Central Luzon spokesman, said Abella, a former policeman, was meted the death penalty by the Nelson Mesina Command for his “crimes against the people.”
