MANILA, Philippines - A grenade explosion rocked the house of former Justice secretary Raul Gonzalez Sr. and former Iloilo City representative Raul Gonzalez Jr. before dawn Thursday.
The blast happened at past 1 a.m. outside the house of the Gonzalezes in Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo City.
Reports said it damaged the plant box outside the concrete wall of the Gonzalezes' compound.
No one was hurt during the blast, reports said.
Police said that according to witnesses, four sports utility vehicles were seen passing by the place before the explosion.
Authorities who responded to the scene recovered a safety lever, fragments and shrapnel of a fragmentation grenade.
Police are investigating the incident.
