MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4 earthquake shook parts of Ilocos Sur before dawn yesterday, but did not cause any damage or injuries, government seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded the quake at 1:04 a.m. with its epicenter traced 58 kilometers southwest of Santa Catalina, Ilocos Sur.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in Santa Catalina; Intensity 2 in Vigan City, Bantay and Santa; and Intensity 1 in Narvacan, Sta. Maria and Burgos.
