TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Unidentified men fired at the house and campaign headquarters of a councilor seeking the mayorship of San Mateo town in Isabela last Tuesday morning, police said.
No one was reported hurt in the attack which occurred as supporters of mayoral bet Santos Villamar were preparing for their campaign sorties that day.
Earlier this week, armed men also fired at the houses of two village chiefs and a political supporter in nearby Luna town.
