MANILA, Philippines - A supporter of re-electionist Antipolo City Mayor Nilo Leyble was shot and seriously wounded yesterday, prompting a group to urge the Commission on Elections to place the city under its control.
The victim, Dick Tadeo, was standing outside his house at Maria Corazon Subdivision in Barangay Cupang when a man confronted him over his loud playing of Leyble’s campaign jingle. The man then pulled out a handgun and shot Tadeo.
With Tadeo’s shooting, a group calling itself the Mamamayan Ayaw sa Dynasty said the Comelec should place Antipolo under its control in the May 13 polls.
