PDEA shuts down drug den in Misamis Oriental
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) shut down a drug den in Miramis Oriental following a buy-bust operation, but failed to arrest its supposed maintainer.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said that operatives seized six grams of shabu during the sting operation in Vamenta Subdivision, Barangay Barra in Opol town, Misamis Oriental last April 26.
Cacdac said that a PDEA undercover agent bought a plastic sachet of shabu from a certain Nassef, identified as the target drug suspect during the buy-bust operation conducted at around 5:30 p.m.
However, Nassef eluded arrest when he noticed the PDEA team positioned near his house.
Anti-narcotics agents pounced on Nasser's five visitors identified as Nasser Jaman, 29, from Mabasa, Carinogan, Barangay Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City; Hajilul Guro , 29; Moktar Mama, 28; Alanudin Guro, 32; and Alfais Ali, 20; all from Vamenta Subdivision Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental.
Recovered during the operation were three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu and various drug paraphernalia.
