SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – At least P5 million worth of grocery and electronic items went up in smoke in a five-hour fire that hit the warehouse of Save More supermarket here last Friday.
Reports said the fire, which broke out at 3:30 p.m., was possibly caused by a welding job inside the warehouse. Others blamed a power transformer, which reportedly exploded prior to the blaze.
Firefighters, including those who came from Santiago City in Isabela, declared the fire under control three hours later.
