PDEA seizes P200K worth of illegal drugs in Iloilo

Anti-narcotics agents arrested four suspected drug pushers during a sting operation in Iloilo City, seizing more than P200,000-worth of  methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Wednesday.

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said Kenneth Asanza, 37, of Aurora del Pilar, Dumangas, Iloilo; Kim Obapial, 19, of Desamparados, Jaro, Iloilo City; Pablo Supapo Jr., 39, of Brgy. Managuit, Dumangas, Iloilo; and Edward Bryan Jaranilla, 29, of Brgy.Managuit, Dumangas, Iloilo, were nabbed in a buy-bust operation last Apr. 20.

Reports showed that around 4 p.m., PDEA operatives apprehended the four suspects  during a buy-bust operation in a restaurant located at Corner Luna-Huervana Streets, Lapaz, Iloilo City.

Confiscated during the operation were 26 grams of shabu placed inside five big transparent plastic sachets with an estimated value of P221,085. - Dennis Carcamo
