30 warrants issued against missing Kidapawan cashier

John Unson - The Philippine Star

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – A local court of North Cotabato has issued 30 warrants for the arrest of a former cashier of the Kidapawan City government who went missing in 2010 taking with him a huge amount of money intended for the salary of the city employees.

City treasurer Elsa Palmones told journalists the 30 warrants issued last week against Darwin Loyola corresponded to 30 payroll money for the wages of 2,500 barangay watchmen, 150 teachers and 2,000 other workers.

The warrants for the arrest of Loyola were issued based on criminal charges the city government filed against him last year.

“He is still missing and no one at the city hall knows where he is now,” Palmones said.
