8 drug pushers fall in Camsur

Authorities have arrested eight suspected notorious drug pushers during the serving of a search warrant in Camarines Sur, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Thursday.

Members of the PDEA and the Philippine National Police apprehended Domingo Pesimo Sr., 59; Ramon Abestro, 48; Michael Magat, 33; Arnold Regollano, 34; Domingo Pesimo Jr., 31; Vanessa Hinayon, 32; Gary Pesimo, 38; and Maricris Clores, 29.

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said all suspects were arrested by combined elements of PDEA Regional Office 5 – Camarines Sur Provincial Office and Naga City Police Intelligence Branch.

Operatives raided Pesimo’s house in Barangay Cararayan, Naga City, Camarines Sur last Apr. 13 on the strength of a search warrant issued by the Judge Pablo Formaran of Regional Trial Court 5 Branch 21 of Naga City.

The search yielded two grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as shabu and various drug paraphernalia. Confiscated pieces of drug evidence were brought to Naga City PNP Provincial Crime laboratory for forensic examination.
