25 of 32 Ecija election officers reassigned

Manny Galvez - The Philippine Star

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines – Twenty-five of the 32 city and municipal election officers in Nueva Ecija have been relieved from their posts and reassigned to other areas less than a month before the May 13 elections.

Lawyer Lydia Tolentino Pangilinan, acting provincial election supervisor, said the reassignment of the 25 election officers is pursuant to Comelec Resolution 9656 dated March 13, 2013 which provides for the temporary reassignment and reshuffling of poll officers.

The revamp was the second in four months following the relief last January of 10 election officers who had been in their posts for the last four years.

The Comelec also implemented last January the reorganization of election officers in the regional and provincial levels, resulting in the relief of Panfilo Doctor Jr. as Nueva Ecija election supervisor.
