Subic Adventure Race participant found dead

SUBIC, Zambales - A racer who went missing during the mountain bike race here over the weekend was found Tuesday morning in Sitio Naugsol, Subic.

Organizers of the Subic Adventure Race identified the racer as Arnold Suero.

Suero was declared missing after his wife asked his co-worker on Monday if he went to work after the race, only then it was found out by the organizers that Suero was missing.

The organizers immediately conducted a search and rescue with other mountain bikers and the local police on Monday.

Suero's body was found at the foot of the mountain in Sitio Naugsol.

Another racer, who requested anonymity said via SMS said that the victim's body was identified by his cousin.

As of this posting, the victim’s body was still being retrieved by the rescue teams.
