Binay inaugurates Hanjin Village

Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Philippines  â€“ Vice President Jejomar Binay recently led the inauguration of the housing project of Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Co. Ltd.  Philippines Inc. (HHIC-Phil. Inc.) for its shipyard workers.

Barely 10 months after breaking ground in July 2012, Binay inaugurated the initial 300 fully built housing units on a 30-hectare land in Barangay Nagbunga, Castillejos, Zambales, which is now dubbed as the “Hanjin Village.”

The housing project, which is targeted to initially benefit at least 2,000 Hanjin employees, is segmented into two phases, the first of which stands on a 12-hectare lot with 1,000 housing units, of which 300 housing units are now ready for occupancy.
