Man dies after falling from Makati condo's 29th floor
MANILA, Philippines - A still unidentified man allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the 29th floor of a service condominium in Makati City on Monday night.
Makati Police described the man to be around 40 years of age and was wearing brown pants, a long-sleeved shirt and black leather sandals. Police said the man did not have any identification documents with him.
Police said the victim leapt from the 29th floor of the Asian Mansion condominium at the corner of Dela Rosa and Nieva streets at about 10 p.m.
Police said the victim first got snagged on high-tension wires as he was hurtling to the pavement. As a result of touching the high-tension wires, the victim’s right hand was severed and the condominium temporarily lost electricity.
According to police, an event was being held at the 29th floor of the condominium which was also its penthouse floor.
Police are still looking at the possibility of foul play in the incident.
