MANILA, Philippines - A ranking member of the New People’s Army (NPA) was arrested Friday afternoon in Jaro, Iloilo City, a military official said.
Col. Arnold Quiapo, commander of the 301st Infantry Brigade, said Bernabe Tubongbanua alias Maymay and Bimboy, intelligence officer of NPA-Kometing Rehiyon Panay, is among the suspects in the killing of Cpl. Joebert Glendro of Army’s 3rd Infantry Division in Capiz in March 2011.
