27 arrested in raid on Laguna drug dens

LAGUNA, Philippines – At least 27 people with criminal records were rounded up in a police raid on suspected drug dens in San Pedro town here last Saturday afternoon.

At least 115 policemen armed with search warrants swooped down on 10 houses in Barangay Cuyab and cornered a woman and 26 men with pending cases such as illegal drugs, homicide, murder, robbery and theft, said Senior Superintendent Pascual Muñoz, Laguna police director.

Those held yielded shabu in plastic sachets and drug paraphernalia.
