3 face charges for village chief’s murder

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police have filed robbery with homicide charges against three persons accused of killing a village chairman and wounding his companion last month in Barangay San Antonio in Claveria, Cagayan.
Chief Inspector Rene Estabillo identified the suspects as Alex Inong, Dante Balintac and one John Doe, all residents of Barangay San Antonio.
The suspects allegedly shot Valentin Corpuz and Eusebia Driza when they resisted an attempt to rob them while they were walking by the seashore.
