Pregnant woman nabbed for sneaking shabu into jail

MANILA, Philippines - A 22-year-old pregnant woman was arrested after she tried to sneak a sachet of shabu and paraphernalia in a jail in Barangay Nalook, Kalibo, Aklan yesterday.

Grace Jimenez of Arevalo district, Iloilo City, was arrested during the inspection at the gate. She was supposed to visit her live-in partner, Jonnie Chris Deloquinis.

Jail Officer Leo Lacerna said  Deloquinis was detained  for possession of illegal drugs.

“Our personnel have been receiving reports that she was bringing shabu into the jail,” Lacerna said.

A sachet of shabu, aluminum foil with shabu residue and several lighters were also seized from Deloquinis.
