Northeast monsoon brings rains over Luzon

MANILA, Philippines - Metro Manila and several provinces in Luzon will experience moderate to heavy rains brought on by the northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said Friday morning.
 
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a 'heavy rainfall' advisory at 8 a.m. for the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon.
 
It saif moderate to heavy rainfall will be experienced in the five Southern Luzon provinces until before noon Friday.
 
The weather bureau also advised that light to moderate rainfall will hit Metro Manila, Aurora, Bataan and Bulacan.
 
Ut added that occasional light to moderate rains will also be experienced in Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Zambales and Tarlac. 
 
"Flooding is possible in low-lying areas and those located near the river channels.," PAGASA warned.
 
PAGASA weather forecaster Adzar Aurelio said that the bad weather over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon is caused by the northeast monsoon.
 
Tropical depression "Crising" has left the Philippine area of responsibility.
 
The government said that two persons were killed and two more were reported missing during the onslaught of 'Crising.'
