MANILA, Philippines - A pre-dawn fire broke out in a residential area in Quezon City on Thursday, leaving at least 100 families homeless.
Quezon City fire marshal Senior Superintendent Bobby Baruelo said that the fire broke out after midnight along Scout Borromeo.
Baruelo said that the fire was put out at 3 a.m.
He said that the fire could have been caused by an electrical short circuit. He said that initial reports showed the fire started at the house of the Laos family.
Ho one was reported hurt in the incident.
The families affected by the fire are now staying at the multi-purpose hall of Barangay South Triangle.
