MANILA, Philippines - Weather bureau Philippne Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Monday reported a low pressure area developing east of Southern Mindanao.
PAGASA also said the LPA was spotted around 4 a.m. 1,120 east of Southern Mindanao which will bring cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms in the regions of Caraga, Davao and Soccsksargen.
PAGASA also warned that these rains could trigger landslides in the affected areas of the country."Eastern Visayas and the rest of Mindanao and will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Cagayan Valley, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will be cloudy with light rains.
"Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms," the PAGASA report added.
PAGASA said the country will also be experiencing moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast.
