MANILA, Philippines - Members of the militant transport group Piston on Monday will stage a protest action again against the weekly oil price increase.
Piston national president George San Mateo said transport leaders from different parts of the country will join the protest action along Aurora Blvd. Cubao, Quezon City fronting Isetann Department Store, 10 a.m. today.
He said workers in the transport sector slam the imminent new oil price hike of P1 on gasoline and P.50 on diesel beginning this midnight amid drop in value of the US dollar against the Philippine peso.
The transport group will also launch today the symbolic "Tulak-Jeep Protest," San Mateo added.
