Town councilor, 2 others busted for drugs in Occidental Mindoro
Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested three persons, including a municipal councilor in Occidental Mindoro during a sting operation, the PDEA said on Wednesday.
PDEA Director General Arturo Cacdac, Jr.said Joseph Isidro, 27, an incumbent municipal councilor of Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro; Richard Supreiano, a watch-listed drug pusher, 39, tricycle driver; and Jacqueline Madrigal, 46; both of Barangay 9 Payompon, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro; were arrested after selling methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to an undercover agent last Feb. 8.
Reports showed that around 9 p.m., the suspects agreed to meet with the poseur-buyer along the vicinity of Barangay 9 Payompon to sell two sachets of shabu.
Upon receiving the buy-bust money, Supreiano, Madrigal and Isidro were immediately arrested by authorities.
Recovered from Isidro’s possession was an additional heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu. They were arrested by combined elements of PDEA Regional Office 4B and Mamburao Municipal police.
Cacdac said Madrigal was a known notorious drug pusher in the region who was recently released from prison after detained at Occidental Mindoro Provincial Jail for eight years.
