Leptospirosis kills 5 in Davao City

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Leptospirosis has claimed the lives of at least five persons in Davao City.

The Davao City Health Office said the fatalities were among the 39 persons affected by the disease since this city was hit by flooding last Jan. 20.

The victims were residents of Barangays Tugbok, Matina-Gravahan, Bacaca and Barangay 2-A, the areas hardest hit by the flooding.
