Isabela boy hammers grenade, killed

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A nine-year-old Grade 2 pupil was killed after he hammered a grenade he had picked up on his way home in Ramon, Isabela yesterday, authorities said.
Relatives of the victim, Gino Padua, told police that they heard him hitting something with a hammer in the kitchen, after which a blast occurred.
The boy’s hands were severed and his face blown up, according to his uncle.
