Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines – The provincial government’s employment generation program gained recognition from the Aquino administration as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) adjudged the province as the top regional performer (first class provincial category) during awarding rites held in Subic Bay, Zambales recently.
Gov. Amado Espino Jr. was recognized as best provincial chief executive with his efforts in making Pangasinan a leader in manpower development, while provincial Public Employment Service Office manager Alex Ferrer was awarded as the Best Performing PESO Manager in Region 1.
Only the provinces of Pangasinan and La Union qualified for the regional award. La Union was named first runner-up.
