Police told to probe all angles in Domingo killing
MANILA, Philippines - Interior Secretary Mar Roxas on Wednesday ordered police probers to look at all angles to Tuesday night's killing of Maconacon, Isabela Mayor Erlinda Domingo, who was shot dead while she was about to check in at the Park Villa Apartelle in Examiner Street Quezon City.
"Mariin kong ipinapaalala kina (National Capital Region Police Office) Director Leonardo Espina at (Quezon City Police District Director, Senior Supt.) Richard Albano na alamin nila ang kabuuan nito. Ang inaasahan ko ay isang comprehensibong imbestigasyon sa krimeng ito," Roxas said.
Roxas also lauded the QCPD for swift action that led to the arrest of three of the six suspects.
QCPD investigation said the victim and her driver were unloading their baggage from their Mitsubishi Adventure when gunmen, aboard two motorcycles, appeared.
Domingo died instantly after being shot at the back of her head.
Her driver, Bernard Plasos, tried to chase the gunmen on foot but one of the gunmen fired at him, hitting Plasos in the right thigh.
Police conducted pursuit operations, resulting in the arrest of a suspect, Christian Pajenado.
Police also nabbed two more suspects- Michael Domingo, 28, of Riverside, Commonwealth, Quezon City and Mary Grace Malones-Abduhadi, 25, of Culiat in Quezon City.
Pursuit operations are ongoing for the arrest of three more suspects.
