MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday announced that a total of 100 people have been arrested for violating the election gun ban.
The PNP said that one of those arrested was a soldier and four were employees of the government.
It said that the remaining 95 violators are civilians.
The PNP reported that its operatives have confiscated a total of 88 firearms, 25 of which were high powered weapons, since the implementation of the Commission on Elections gun ban last January 13.
Lawmen also seized 25 bladed weapons and nine grenades and explosives.
