CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines – A resident of Nueva Ecija is the new Nueva Ecija police director, replacing Senior Superintendent Walter Castillejos who was fired barely four months ahead of the May midterm elections.
Senior Superintendent Crisaldo Nieves, 47, who hails from Zaragoza town, assumed the post in a turnover ceremony at the provincial police headquarters here Wednesday.
Castillejos served for only six months, way short of the two-year tour of duty of a provincial director. No reason was given for his sudden relief by Camp Crame.
