Isabela trike driver killed after caroling

Raymund Catindig - The Philippine Star

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A 35-year-old tricycle driver was gunned down shortly after bringing home his friends from a caroling in Angadanan, Isabela on Christmas Eve, authorities said.

Chief Inspector Salvador Mangulab, Angadanan police chief, said the victim, Christopher Lacar, was waylaid along a deserted road near a cornfield and succumbed to seven .9mm bullet wounds.

Police ruled out robbery in the killing, as Lacar still had the proceeds of their caroling, saying an old grudge could have something to do with it.
