MANILA, Philippines - Two cousins aged 50 and 60 were having fun drinking while waiting for the clock to hit midnight on Christmas Eve in Agusan del Sur until a verbal tussle ensued between them.
Police said Rafael Janopol, 60, got his homemade .357 Smith and Wesson revolver and shot his cousin Pancho Janopol Lozano, 50, hitting him in the right shoulder.
Lozano was rushed to the D.O. Plaza Memorial Medical Hospital in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur by his relatives while Janopol was arrested by barangay watchmen and the gun was seized from him.
Police could not say what the two cousins quarreled about.
