MANILA, Philippines - A predawn fire that hit a commercial building in Divisoria, Manila was declared under control by firefighters.
A TV report said vendors near the building at the corner of Tabora and M. de Santos streets said an explosion was heard before the fire broke out. Tenants of the building include a bookstore and two banks.
Firefighters suspected that the fire could have been caused by either a faulty electrical wiring or firecrackers.
