22 hurt as truck falls into ravine

MANILA, Philippines -  At least 22 people, half of them minors, sustained injuries in a road accident in Dolores, Abra last Saturday, authorities said.

National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council executive director Benito Ramos said the driver of an Isuzu dump truck reportedly lost control of the vehicle and bumped into a tree before falling into a ravine along the Abra-Kalinga Road in Barangay Mudiit.

The 22 passengers of the truck suffered various injuries and were rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital for treatment.
