ORMOC CITY, Philippines – A 47-year-old man was sentenced to eight years imprisonment for raping the daughter of his live-in partner, who is said to be a special child.
Regional Trial Court Judge Clinton Nuevo ordered the prison term for Nonito Calusor last Thursday after he pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of attempted rape for the two counts of rape filed against him.
Calusor was also ordered to pay P30,000 in damages and the legal expenses incurred by the girl.
