11 b’gays compete in lantern fest

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – At least 11 barangays in this city are competing in the annual Giant Lantern Festival set today at the Robinsons Starmills.

The competition, dubbed as “Ligligan Parul,” is expected to draw thousands of local and foreign tourists.

After the competition night, the giant lanterns will be on exhibit at Robinsons Starmills on Dec. 16 to 21 and Dec. 25 to Jan. 3, 2013.

The giant lanterns will also be displayed at Essel Park in Barangay Telabastagan here on Dec. 22, Greenfields Subdivision on Dec. 23, and in front the Metropolitan Cathedral and City Hall on Dec. 24.
