Mangaldan town holds prelude to Pindang Fest
MANGALDAN, Pangasinan, Philippines – After years of strong clamor from residents, the municipal government finally acceded to the holding of the Pindang Festival to showcase the town’s famous tapang karne ng kalabaw (processed thinly sliced dried carabeef strips) which will have its prelude today.
Ajie Cabrera, executive assistant of Mayor Herminio Romero, told The STAR that it will just be a dry run as next year’s event will be the grand launch.
A giant tarpaulin will be unveiled at the town plaza announcing the activities for next year’s first-ever Pindang Festival in time for the town’s fiesta celebration in March.
