Cagayan tricycle driver charged for stepson’s slay
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police have filed murder charges against a drug-crazed tricycle driver for the death of his five-year-old stepson who he earlier had reported killed in a vehicular accident here.
The suspect, George Panaga, 39, has surrendered to the police.
Panaga earlier had left his stepson, John Carlo Pasaraba, at the hospital, claiming they had figured in an accident while aboard his tricycle.
Autopsy findings, however, showed that the child had stab wounds in the legs and fractures in the head.
Police also found out that Panaga’s tricycle appeared undamaged.
Witnesses said Panaga appeared high on drugs when he took his stepson for a ride.
