Anti-narcotics agents arrested a suspected no. 2 drug pusher in Central Mindanao during a sting operation in General Santos City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Thursday.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said the suspect, Danny Borinaga, 23, of San Juan, Silway, Barangay Dadiangas West, General Santos City, was apprehended by operatives after selling a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to an undercover agent last Nov. 28. around 2:40 a.m. in his neighborhood.
Cacdac said Borinaga is ranked number 2 in the PDEA target-list in Central Mindanao and reportedly a member-pusher of the Malacañang Drug Group.
"His arrest is expected to affect the supply of shabu in General Santos City and its neighboring municipalities," the PDEA head said.
Cacdac said Borinaga also yielded a five-inch ice pick, a seven-inch double-sided knife and the buy-bust money used during the transaction. - Dennis Carcamo
