Supreme Court exonerates 79 Cotabato detainees

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Six judges of the “Justice on Wheels” program of the Supreme Court exonerated 79 detainees at the North Cotabato provincial jail following a series of marathon hearings in Kidapawan City on Monday.  

The detainees were released after deliberations on the criminal cases filed against them. 

Deputy court administrator Antonio Eugenio Jr. said they have dismissed 111 of the 118 cases they handled.  

Eugenio said the Justice on Wheels program in North Cotabato involves six regional trial court and two municipal trial court judges.
