2 killed in Bataan road mishap

BALANGA CITY, Philippines – A former municipal treasurer of Hermosa, Bataan and a 17-year-old boy were killed  in separate vehicular accidents in Hermosa and Dinalupihan towns Monday afternoon.

Inspector Joey Sampaga, Hermosa deputy police chief, told The STAR that Loreta Sibug, 72, a resident of Barangay San Pedro in Hermosa, was hit by a KIA van (SHB-413) along the national road at around 6 p.m.

Sibug suffered head and body injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.

In Dinalupihan, Jonnie Centerno, died when he was thrown out after a mini bus hit the tricycle he was riding. 

The driver, Lorna Lingad, 29, suffered injuries in the head and arms  and remains confined at the Bataan General Hospital.
